My onboard (nForce) sound fried yesterday during the process of unplugging my computer, transporting it to evan’s house, and connecting it to his stereo. Oh well, I’m thinking about getting this and this to replace it :).

So I finally gave up trying to fix the MSI service, moved my data off my primary harddrive, and did a repair install of Windows. Everything worked great, booted up to a desktop and everything.
