Birthday

Today is my birthday. I registered to vote.
I also recieved a letter from the Selective Service System reminding me I had to sign up. Pretty impressive that they timed it to arrive on the day of my birthday.

and four months later…ubuntu cds!

I can’t believe this, the hoary CDs that I ordered in late April arrived in the mail today. I had given up all hope on these. Would have been really nice to have had these a few months ago when hoary was the new thing, now its almost all about breezy =/.

Verizon Upgrades?

It seems that as of yesterday I can now send/receive text messages as well as recieve voice mail notifications while my phone is on “Extended Network”! Still no 1x data though.. I wonder if e911 location works, that has always worried me.
Now if only Verizon didn’t charge so much for messaging…
