I finally got so sick of dealing with bBlog’s lack of, well, anything that didn’t completely suck so I moved over to WordPress. Yeah, it’s not asp.net but everyone who I’ve talked to has liked it very much and I can see why. It’s simple, has tons of features, and at this point “just works”.
You also more than likely have noticed that the URL has changed from http://extremeboredom.net/ to http://eric.extremeboredom.net/. This is because I have other (exciting!) plans for extremeboredom.net, so please update your bookmarks, RSS readers, and stay tuned.
A technical note about the migration, I imported all of my posts over using the RSS importer that wordpress comes with. As for all the comments I ended up just writing a quick program that took the XML output from a query against bBlog’s comments table using MySQL Query Browser and inserted them using the correct format into the WordPress database. Code will be avaliable as soon as I finish moving domains around. If you are interested post a reply and I’ll be sure to make sure you are notified.
I’m still not quite done migrating the template/stylesheet over, so if you happen to come across any visual goofs please let me know.

hi i am sick of bblog sucking as well and want to potentially migrate to wordpress. do you by any chance have that script?
i am a totally neophyte when it comes to database and i doubt
i would be able to spend the time to do what you did to port everything over.
