Comcast ‘outage’
Tonight at around 12:30 everbody on my contact list who has Comcast cable internet in the North Seattle area lost connectivity (including myself) for about 30 seconds. I wonder what happened.

Utah comcast is down completely, internet and cable television. Has been so since around 1:25 pm EDT

There was a nationwide outage affecting internet and e-mail - and apparently television where you guys are located - beginning at about 2 pm CST. Was not repaired by 11 pm but was back up by 3 am. Can’t find any information from Comcast. Was expecting an e-mail this morning from Comcast. So far nothing.
Yeah, it looked like their DNS servers went down, here at least. I suppose something more serious could have happened elsewhere.
It didn’t effect me though, since I have the old at&t dns server hard-coded on my local network here.
I am expecting the news for this outage. I am surpised no news for this.

I think it’s pretty pathetic that they seem to only have two DNS servers for the entire country.
You really need to get off the internet if you can notice a 30 minute no service period! :D
It seems comcast is down again (I’m in Maryland)
Massive Comcast Outage started on 4.8.05 approx. 530pm, and it effected almost 4 million customers with no internet, 80% network confirmed outage, it has been on/off for some areas. Call 1-888-COMCAST for service credit.
Comcast cable & internet has been out in my part of Miami since Wilma went through on 10/24. They can give no firm indication of when service will be resumed - supposed to have been 95% as of today.
Totally out in Colorado since last night.
Atlanta 30315 in the 404, Comcast goes down several times down over the last month. Called and complained and got the introductory rate on internet and television package for 12 months. This is their last chance before I cancel and switch to Earthlink DSL.
